Our Story
Distinct Painting Company was built on integrity and driven to not only succeed but rather redefine the custom painting experience. Founded in late 2007 in Loveland, Colorado. After painting for several different companies, from industrial to new construction and restoration, Kane Robinson realized that his high standards, integrity, and morals were not being matched by those of his employers. As a result, Distinct Painting Co. was started. Since starting the company, Kane has applied his knowledge of custom craftsmanship along with his business degree he earned from Regis University to grow the company and thrive.
At Distinct Painting Co, we provide high-quality interior and exterior painting for residential and commercial properties, as well as expert wood finishing and exterior services that demonstrate our devotion to craftsmanship. We work on new construction and restoration projects alike.

Distinct Painting Company is owned and operated by Kane Robinson. Kane has been in the painting and restoration industry and has been finishing and restoring residential and commercial properties since 2003. He founded the company in 2007.

Distinct Painting Company
Kane Robinson founded Distinct Painting Company in 2007 with a clear intention: to deliver superior craftsmanship and service to the Northern Colorado region. When the economic downturn of 2008 hit, Kane strategically shifted his focus to residential repainting and restoration—and in doing so, he found his niche.
Since then, Distinct Painting has grown into a full-service fine finish company, offering siding, windows, gutters, cabinetry, and more. Kane’s keen eye for detail and craftsmanship sets the company apart in a competitive industry, earning a reputation for high-end finishes and exceptional care.
In 2024, Kane expanded his expertise by launching Infinite Finishes, a millwork and custom woodcrafting business that reflects his dedication to artistry and growth. He is especially passionate about historic preservation and restoration and brings deep knowledge to every project he leads.
Distinct Painting Company is an EPA-certified firm, qualified in lead-safe work practices and abatement.

Meet Matt Toll
Project Manager at Distinct Painting Company
Matt Toll rejoined Distinct Painting Company in the spring of 2025, returning in a new role as our project manager. His journey with us began in 2016 when he started as a painter, mastering fine finishes, cabinet refinishing, high-end interior and exterior repaints, and custom homes.
A Colorado native, Matt grew up around construction, learning the ropes from his father, a seasoned General Contractor. In 2015 he launched his own painting business, further honing his craftsmanship and leadership skills. He also earned a Construction Management Certificate from Colorado State University, equipping him to manage complex projects with precision.
Now, Matt oversees all aspects of our work — from siding and windows to paint and gutters — ensuring that every project runs smoothly and meets our high standards. His approachable nature, technical expertise, and deep commitment to quality make him a trusted leader for our team and a reliable point of contact for our clients.
